Dearest Wintergarden Faith Community,
As we continue to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world, let us do so with love and hope. Our weekly email of prayers is a way for us to share the prayers shared in worship, through the food pantry, and our various other ministries with a larger group. Due to privacy needs we will only include the first names of people and not last names. We also know this list will not be perfect and in need of constant updating. We will review this every week and be mindful of how we are being asked to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world.
Blessings,
Pastor Devon
Prayers of Joy
- The Building Rededication was an amazing event and we are all so grateful for those who helped make it happen! And we praise God for all the great partnerships and miraculous connections that made it all come together! (If you haven’t had a chance to look at the pictures in the photo album and throughout the church, do so! We’ve come so far!)
- Cheryl is celebrating one year in her home!
- Jim is grateful for Colleen’s safe return from Guatemala! And she is grateful for the experience.
- Maralee is praising the fact her niece got a promotion.
- Maralee’s nephew is also expecting a baby and with the baby shower soon. A wonderful joy indeed.
Concerns
- Pray for Joy who has had to temporarily go to the hospice house. The plan is to get her more comfortable so she can return to her daughter’s for continued hospice care. That is her desire, so that is the prayer, that she be able to return home to Ashley’s house for her final time with us.
- Pray for Barbara’s husband, Fred. Fred’s hip surgery (due to a fall) went well, but he needs to go to rehab and he’s not happy about it. Pray also for Barbara and Sal and Carol as they try to help Fred through this.
- Please pray for Kymmie’s family as they decide what is the best care option for her ailing mom.
- Josephine’s son, Frank, passed on Tuesday unexpectedly. They are grateful he’s no longer battling all he was battling and that he is at peace. Please pray for her and all who loved him and for their peace.
- Kathy asked for prayers for Jerry and his stay in the hospital. That he heals well and also prayers for his upcoming move.
- Michael and his sons did our framing. He had a stroke and a motorcycle accident. We are praying that in the next year he can make a full recovery. They say it will be that long. We pray also for his family and his company – that the family can keep it going as he recovers.
- Pray also for Miss Edwards. She is one of the home owners we’ve been helping. She is improving, but is still in the hospital recovering from Covid.
- Prayers for Shawn and whatever he’s going through with his health.
- Heather is back from going to be with her son, Dan. He is healing but please continue to pray for him.
- They did identify a muscle tear in Cheryl’s shoulder. She’s hopeful that physical therapy will solve the issue as she hopes to avoid surgery. Please pray it improves quickly and thoroughly. [PS As of this writing, her knee is also an issues, so please include that healing as well.]
