BE THE ONE | The 2024 Giving Challenge | 2 HOURS LEFT- Share with your friends!

We have 2 hours left in the #GivingChallenge2024. Thank you to the 14 people who have given to help us build a more energy efficient footprint.

At this time, we are encouraging you to share with your email contacts, with your Facebook friends, text messages, and maybe even make a few phone calls. If your friends are able to give $25, their gift is doubled!

The Giving Challenge is a unique opportunity in our area that is sponsored by The Community Foundation of Sarasota and The Patterson Foundation. For every dollar given between $25-100, the Patterson Foundation will match that gift…mean, every dollar given goes further! In order to meet our goal, we need your help!

We are writing to ask you to take five minutes to give to Wintergarden Presbyterian Church (DBA Garden of Eatin’)  After that, you can give to other nonprofits that do work that you support or just kick back and watch how high the giving can go at GivingChallenge.org!

Your donation of any amount will help us meet our goal of $20,000. It is our hope to raise more money to help us become better stewards of our creation by reducing our utility bills by adding solar panels and a water catchment system, so we have more resources for serving our community.

Here’s how you can make a HUGE difference today:

  • Make a donation (link to your Giving Challenge page!)
  • Spread the word. Text a friend. Forward this email. Post on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #GivingChallenge2024. Oh, and you can also just tell someone in person – that works, too.
  • Come by the church from Wednesday from 9-12pm if you would like to give a check or make a cash donation.

Share a Text message the day of to encourage Friends and Family to contribute. Example: “Wintergarden Presbyterian Church – Garden of Eatin’ is participating in The 2024 Giving Challenge TODAY only! Our mission to Feed People means a lot to me. Please check out our profile and consider giving a gift. Every little bit counts” and make sure to share the profile link!

Be socially (media) active. Use your social media networks: post on Facebook, tweet about the Giving Challenge, and share your love for your particular passion, whether it’s education, health care, animals, or the arts. Ask others to do the same.

Thank you for being “the one” and help us reach our goal!

Blessings,
Pastor Devon
