Friends, we have the opportunity to double our giving impact in our community with various ministries and missions we support and engage with as a congregation. You might be asking, “how can we double our giving?” Well, from noon on April 28 through noon on April 29, every dollar amount given will be doubled. DOUBLED! So your $5 turns into $10. And you $100 turns into $200. Amazing! I really like that kind of math!
Let’s give back to the community during this time. Let’s be a blessing to those in our community through the garden, Homeless Coalition, and/or FCA.
Why should you give to The Giving Challenge?
The Giving Challenge is an exciting online 24-hour giving event that connects nearly 700 nonprofit organizations with passionate donors to support diverse causes and create enduring impact in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties. Being a part of the Giving Challenge transforms people and organizations through meaningful relationships and partnerships. Join our vibrant culture of giving and maximize your potential impact from Noon to Noon, April 28-29.While we are monitoring the evolving situation in our community, we’d like to share that the 2020 Giving Challenge is first and foremost an online giving event, and it remains scheduled April 28-29. The 2020 Giving Challenge will be one of several grant-funding tools available to help with our community’s evolving response to the corona virus pandemic, as the unrestricted funds raised during the Giving Challenge provide our nonprofit partners flexibility to respond to community needs, especially as those needs evolve or change. The Giving Challenge is hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation. Our FIRST opportunity is in partnership with Keep Charlotte Beautiful. KCB has decided to support the Wintergarden “Garden of Eatin'” for the community project of their choice. Meaning, if you give, your money is doubled, and our community garden receives the financial gift. What an amazing why to give to support the garden and food pantry! The SECOND opportunity is with the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition. This is a ministry and mission we have strongly supported as a congregation for many years. Click HERE to give to support the Homeless Coalition.
The THIRD opportunity is with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Our congregation is supporting the ministry of FCA to share the love of Christ with young people at Murdock Middle School. Click HERE to give to support FCA.
Blessings to you all!
