WINTERGARDEN WEEKEND UPDATE

Dearest Faith Community Near and Far- First, I hope everyone is doing well. If you haven’t received a Star Word for 2023, please let me know. These our words of intention and additional ways for prayer. Our congregation’s word is Affirmation. Over the next few weeks and this year, I look forward to spending more time in going deeper into this word of intention for our community.  Second, we will have Breakfast Church on Sunday, January 22 at 9:30, and unless announced, please bring a dish to share every week. We will gather back under the tent. Thank you for being flexible this past week! Third, framing is almost complete in the Sanctuary. We also passed our mold assessment for the sanctuary. The building was repiped this past week and there are new toilets and faucets in the bathrooms. The urinals are out of order until the parts arrive. Decker Plumbing was a wonderful company to work with!  We are hoping to get the AC and ductwork replacement done over the next two weeks, as well as get the electricians in to update the sanctuary. Then spray foam insulation in both buildings (again, when the spray foam goes in, we will need to shut down the buildings for that time period). Lots of moving parts! If you want to check out the Sanctuary, you are welcome to do so. And last, we are beginning to host groups in our bunk trailer. So there will be more people around and folks helping to rebuild our community. Lectio Divina for Monday,  January  23,  2023All are welcome to join us as we continue to engage in the spiritual practice of Lectio Divina together as a community.  Our Scripture Lesson is Micah 6:1-8. We will gather via zoom for an intentional time of listening, reflecting, responding, and resting in the Word of God. We will meet on Mondays from 8-9 am.  Here are some details about Lectio Divina.  Lectio Divina, literally meaning “divine reading,” is an ancient practice of praying the Scriptures. During Lectio Divina, the person listens to the text of the Bible with the “ear of the heart,” as if he or she is in conversation with God, and God is suggesting the topics for discussion. There are four movements for Lectio Divina:  1. Lectio: (Listening to the Word of God or Reading God’s Word) 2. Meditatio: (Reflecting on the Word of God) 3. Oratio: (Responding to the Word of God) 4.
