| WINTERGARDEN WEEKEND UPDATE |
| Dearest Faith Community Near and Far- Happy Saturday! We are heading to Emma’s first horse show of the season in Punta Gorda for the day! Excited for this journey to begin. So I hope you are having a wonderful day and enjoying God’s creation. Over the next few weeks and this year, I look forward to spending more time in going deeper into our congregation’s word of intention, which is Affirmation. I pray you are continuing to think and pray with your star word and explore God’s intention for you this year. First, we will have Breakfast Church under the tent on Sunday, February 5 at 9:30, and unless announced, please bring a dish to share every week. Thanks to those who signed up to bring something specific. We really appreciate it. Second, framing work continues in the sanctuary, kitchen, and hallway. It is looking good! We are still finalizing the company who will be doing the electrical work. The ductwork was installed this past week and the framing in the building has continued. Still lots of moving parts! If you want to check out the Sanctuary, you are welcome to do so. And last, the Tuesday Work Project for this Tuesday at 11am is the kitchen. This is probably going to take a couple of weeks to get done. But the more folks we have, the quicker it will go. Thanks to everyone who made the kids room look great!  Lectio Divina for Monday, January 30, 2023All are welcome to join us as we continue to engage in the spiritual practice of Lectio Divina together as a community. Our Scripture Lesson is 1 Corinthians 3:1-9 We will gather via zoom for an intentional time of listening, reflecting, responding, and resting in the Word of God. We will meet on Mondays from 8-9 am. Here are some details about Lectio Divina. Lectio Divina, literally meaning “divine reading,” is an ancient practice of praying the Scriptures. During Lectio Divina, the person listens to the text of the Bible with the “ear of the heart,” as if he or she is in conversation with God, and God is suggesting the topics for discussion. There are four movements for Lectio Divina: 1. Lectio: (Listening to the Word of God or Reading God’s Word) 2. Meditatio: (Reflecting on the Word of God) 3. Oratio: (Responding to the Word of God) 4.
