In February of 2019, the Garden of Eatin’ at Wintergarden Presbyterian Church joined an effort to be “soil makers.” We officially are a registered site with MakeSoil.org. We would love for more people to join our effort to become soil makers.
According to MakeSoil.org, a soil maker is someone who has mastered the alchemy of turning scraps and leftovers into soil – or is learning to – and who takes ownership and responsibility for one or more Soil Sites. Wintergarden is a soil site, which is a place where scraps and leftovers are turned into soil by a Soil Maker. We are asking for you to help be a soil supporter, which is A someone who contributes their scraps and leftovers to a Soil Site.
