Office Offically Closed:
Over the past two weeks, Julie and I have been in the office on Tuesdays. We have been working on various projects that are needed to keep things moving forward for our Wintergarden Community.
As of today, April 1, 2020, we will officially be closing the office on Tuesdays (and every other day). With the pantry open on Thursdays, people might be in and out of the office because of the food pantry. We all will be working from home. If there is something that you need, as always, you can reach Pastor Devon via phone, email, text, and Facebook Messenger. You can even try to Facetime too! I have a Skype account as well. Truly, reach out and I’ll get back to you.
Julie and I will continue our work remotely and we will be using the various forms of ways to communicate.
Food Pantry Updates:
The Food Pantry will continue to stay open. We are blessed to have a great team making sure this happens and the property to keep everything as safe as possible. If you are interested in volunteering to help, please contact Patti first. Please do not just show up to help. We need to know who will be there every week so we can walk folks through processes and procedures. You can reach Patti at pajblack09@gmail.com or 941-889-9373.
Updated Directory:
For some reason, our program for the directory is not cooperating kindly with us right now. We are trying to figure out what is going on, but in the mean time, we wanted to get you the rest of the folks whose names didn’t print out with the updates. The link for the directory is coming in the next email. I want to post this email on Facebook and do not want to post everyone’s information publically.

Lent in Plain Sight Daily Devotional:
We will continue our journey through Lent in Plain Sight. The daily devotion typically happens around 9:30 every morning. Sometimes it is a pre-recorded video, others time it will be Facebook live. The video is saved. AND you don’t need to have a Facebook account to watch! Please click this link: https://www.facebook.com/pg/wintergardenpres/videos/
Once you click on the link, scroll down and click the arrow next to videos. And all the videos for Sacred Space and Daily Devotions will be there! Try it and let me know it works.
On-Line Giving:
Thank you to those who have given electronically! We greatly appreciate it. I also know many are worried about our personal finances at this time. It is understandable. It is also important for us to all continue to give as God calls us to give. If you are able to, we would greatly appreciate you either mailing in a check to the church or using our platform for on-line giving. Please know if you mail in a check, it might take a little longer for it to be deposited. On-line giving is safe and through the Presbyterian Foundation with the denomination. We made it as safe as possible! Click HERE to give to Wintergarden during this time (and moving foward!).
Church, you are loved. You are prayed for. We want you to be well. And you are a gift. Continue to be the people of God wherever you might go and do so in a way that respects the needs of others and their concerns. More details to come in regards to Easter and moving forward soon!
