Dearest Wintergarden Faith Community,

As we continue to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world, let us do so with love and hope. Our weekly email of prayers is a way for us to share the prayers shared in worship, through the food pantry, and our various other ministries with a larger group. Due to privacy needs we will only include the first names of people and not last names. We also know this list will not be perfect and in need of constant updating. We will review this every week and be mindful of how we are being asked to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world.

Blessings,
Pastor Devon

Prayers of Joy

  • John is thankful for the visit with their new great grandchild.
  • Thanksgiving for enjoyable visits with friends.
  • Cheryl is grateful to know she does not need knee surgery.
  • She’s also grateful for a new bed, making her new home more comfortable.
  • Kymmie and all the pantry volunteers are grateful for the new cement which will make for a continuous work area.
  • Deb is grateful for being able to see good people in the world – for the help of the work teams that have helped her restore her home.
  • Deb also expressed appreciation for everyone here, at Wintergarden.

Concerns

  • Please pray for the custody battle John’s family is facing. He is seeking peace for all involved.
  • Kymmie wants prayers for good answers regarding test results.
  • Rich requested prayer for the family after the sudden death of their son.
  • Barb reports Robert is in the hospital in an effort to bring his diabetes under control. Please pray for his health.
  • Maralee’s mom fell because she forgets what she can’t do and tried to get up unassisted. Pray also for Maralee, her dad and her sister as they walk with her mom through this.
  • Continue to pray for baby Arlo. She recently turned two, but is still slowly deteriorating. Hospice is still involved and the moms have been told to make funeral plans. But she still brings joy to those in her world.
  • Jeff is improving. Please pray for continued healing and for next steps.
  • Continued prayers for Bob and Joy, Joe and Barb, Stan and Ursula, Barb and Fred, Steve and Cheri.
  • Please continue to pray for this church’s call to feed people spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically.

Prayers for the World

Please continue to pray for our community and world:

  • Tornado victims and all the victims of the natural disasters being seen in the world now due to climate change.
  • For the mission teams coming to serve in our community to help people rebuild their homes and lives.
  • For those deeply impacted by Hurricane Ian and all that is ahead for rebuilding and recovery.
  • Continue to pray for Syria, Turkey, Ukraine.
  • And as always, we continue to pray for world peace and more peace interactions between peoples.

Traveling Mercies

Please continue to pray for our community and world:

  • Traveling mercies for Jim and Colleen and they migrate north.
  • And safe travels for Devon and Emma as they travel to Georgia for a horse show. They are hauling their new-to-them horse trailer. (Update- They made it safely and are settling in to the show! Emma begins her classes on Friday, March 31-prayers for a great show)
