Dearest Wintergarden Faith Community,

As we continue to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world, let us do so with love and hope. Our weekly email of prayers is a way for us to share the prayers shared in worship, through the food pantry, and our various other ministries with a larger group. Due to privacy needs we will only include the first names of people and not last names. We also know this list will not be perfect and in need of constant updating. We will review this every week and be mindful of how we are being asked to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world.

Blessings,
Pastor Devon

Closure!

The church office and pantry will be close on Tuesday and Wednesday, but the current plan is to reopen on Thursday. Obviously, this plan might need adjusting depending on what happens with the storm. But that is the current plan.

Prayers of Joy

  • Cheryl is grateful for the start of PT for her back.
  • Cheryl is also grateful for Annie and John being such great servants of the Lord and for Kymmie’s patience.

Concerns

  • Please pray for Barbara. She has pancreatitis and home resting and on antibiotics.
  • We all pray this storm passes us by and all of our community comes out the other end, safely. Please especially consider those in our community with homes still not safe from the last storm.
  • Prayers for Maralee who will be leaving on Friday for NC and then on to WV with family to have a memorial service for her mom who passed the end of April.
  • Pray for the community of Jacksonville, and especially those impacted by the recent racially motivated shooting there.
  • Prayers for Rick’s cousin, John who passed from cancer on Tuesday. Praying for comfort and peace for all who loved him.
  • Pray also for Gilligan’s healing.
  • For relationships going through hard times.
  • Prayers for patience.
  • Cheryl asks for prayers for her apartment complex and some coming decisions that need to be made.
  • We continue to pray for our pantry volunteers – which we need more of in these hotter months.
  • Continue to also pray for all all our partners in disaster relief and for more work teams as we have only two more team scheduled for 2023.
  • Pray also for the Homeless Coalition and the other non-profits in our community trying to help vulnerable populations.
  • Pray also for those needing rest, including Pastor Devon.
  • Pray also for Cheryl’s brother in Georgia and family in Mass.
  • Pray for continued healing for Cheryl’s back.
  • We pray for Maui – for the fire victims, their loved ones, for those left to rebuild and for the first responders working through the disaster.
  • As school has started, we pray for the students, parents, teachers and all the other staff. Praying for a good year for all.
  • World peace.

Traveling Mercies

  • For all those traveling.
On the website for the church, there is a way to submit your prayer requests. If this is something you would be interested in doing, please do so. The prayer requests are emailed to Pastor Devon once they are submitted.
