Dearest Wintergarden Faith Community,

As we continue to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world, let us do so with love and hope. Our weekly email of prayers is a way for us to share the prayers shared in worship, through the food pantry, and our various other ministries with a larger group. Due to privacy needs we will only include the first names of people and not last names. We also know this list will not be perfect and in need of constant updating. We will review this every week and be mindful of how we are being asked to pray for one another, our community, our country, and our world.

Blessings,
Pastor Devon

Prayers of Joy

  • On Sunday we joined with churches around the world as we celebrated World Communion Sunday, which is a great joy!
  • We give thanks that Gale has returned!

Concerns

  • Prayers for Kymmie and Rick’s family. Kymmie’s 1 year old niece, Hope, has COVID and croup. Please pray for her health to be restored and for all those caring for her to remain well. Pray also that Kymmie, Rick and the kids somehow get in a good visit and good rest despite COVID.
  • Please pray for Ahilya. She is having respiratory problems.
  • Pray for Wendy’s cousin Norm, with advanced prostrate cancer. He’s having chemo and a procedure Nov 3.
  • Continued prayers for Wendy’s brother, Paul, and his family. First, his wife, Renay, lost her mom a couple weeks ago, then after the funeral, they all became sick with COVID. Renay also has to work through her mom’s stuff, so it’s just a very hard time for them – lots of responsibilities, loss, and illness.
  • Prayers for those living at Jacaranda Place.
  • Cheryl request prayers for her finances, for continued healing, and for getting a passport.
  • Pray for Cheryl’s brother in Georgia and sister in Mass.
  • Pray also for the food pantry and homeless coalition.
  • Prayer for those living in or facing homelessness, for the sick, abused and hopeless.
  • And finally, prayers for peace and justice.

Traveling Mercies

  • Pray for Bethania as she travels to Brazil.
  • For the beginning of the return of our snowbirds.
  • For all those traveling.
On the website for the church, there is a way to submit your prayer requests. If this is something you would be interested in doing, please do so. The prayer requests are emailed to Pastor Devon once they are submitted.
